San Fermin Bullfights
The bullfight in San Fermin is unlike any spectacle you are likely to see elsewhere in the world and is far from a traditional bullfight where the audience watches the drama with intense, almost silent, attention. San Fermín Taurine events are offered in packages or can be booked individually. Our guided event includes a taurine expert + gastro pack with traditional sandwiches & drinks on ice.
What matters is Sun or Shade
Probably the most important decision would be whether you want to be in the sun or shade. The experience is quite different, so make sure that you know what kind of experience you really do want. special atmosphere that is lived in the stretches of sun makes of the bullfights of San Fermin a unique spectacle that you will not see in any other place of the world If you feel a little queasy about watching bulls and men in a ritual that leads to the almost inevitable of the bulls, think about choosing a seat higher up, say in Tendido. Maybe mid-way up is a better idea for you. However, if you want to get right into the action, then take the Contra Barrera tickets, where you will not miss a thing! Andanada tickets are in the middle high zone, tendido tickets are in the middle low zone, contra barrera tickets are in the lower zone, and barrera are near the arena.

On January 1, 1940 D. Salvador García Cebada returns to Paterna de la Rivera (Cádiz) from the war and begins working with his uncle D. José Cebada Gago. At that time, D. Jose owned the farms of «Arroyo Hierro» and «Los Arquillos» in which, in addition to work, they raised gentle cattle. Through the treatment of beasts, D. Salvador frequented spectacles of harassment and demolition, to which he was fond as a spectator. On one of those occasions he meets the great D. Juan Belmonteal who exchanges a horse for three cows and a stud for a couple of years. Cross this stallion with the three cows of Belmonte and some more anger that was in the house. The products that come out are sold in the surrounding villages for celebrations without horses of yearlings and eels. He returns the borrowed stallion and buys another one from Belmonte’s iron. Shortly afterwards, thanks to Don Salvador’s love of wild cattle, he buys 36 cows from D. Carlos Nuñez, some of whom were pregnant and others pregnant. To this batch he throws them the stallion that he had acquired, raising a lot of cows without trying, around a hundred, which he slashed with the iron of Salvador García Cebada, current second iron of the house.
