From the Garden to the kitchen

AT FIRST SIGHT

Our seasonally-inspired culinary expedition to southern Navarra takes us to the region famed for its wide variety and quality of vegetables. From the world-renowned white asparagus to the unparalleled artichokes, Navarran people rightfully take a lot of pride in their produce and are eager to show it off to visitors. This gives us the perfect excuse to venture into this golden land to experience a gastronomic heaven.

CHANGING LANDSCAPES

We see the landscape change from green to gold as we drive through past acres of vineyards and olive groves.

FROM GREEN TO GOLD

Wheat fields dance in the wind and every family owns their own vegetable garden.

 SOUTHERN NAVARRA FLAVOURS

Enjoy the local flavor of the Ribera del Ebro, where the people are still connected deeply to their land.

SAVOUR THE LOCAL PRODUCE

Here, we truly experience the rich taste of Navarra.

The Day
Summary

We visit regional wineries, and a trujal, where olives are pressed into unctuous olive oil. We end up in the Mejana, at the heart of Navarra’s vegetable producing region, and meet top chef, Santi, who invites us into his own magnificent garden to learn all about the passion and artistry he puts into his masterpiece vegetable dishes. After picking our own selection of sun-warmed produce, with our baskets in hand, we join our chef in his restaurant, known as the best in the Ribera region, for an exquisite haute cuisine seven-dish sampling menu.
